Palante Salsa Auditions Spring 2012

Spring 2012 New Member Auditions, February-March 2012. Dates, Times and Venues TBA.
Palante Salsa en Rueda Dance Troupe welcomes all dancers. Auditions consist of a workshop, presentation and survey. New members are placed into one of five groups, ranging from complete beginner to performer level. Troupe members learn and perform Salsa, Bachata and traditional Afro-Cuban & Caribbean dance from experienced instructors and choreographers, and to both recorded and live music.

Live music is provided by our own percussion group. All auditionees are invited to join and are pushed to become better dancers. Those with little experience begin with the basics. Those with training are invited to join our performance team and create choreography. Afro-Caribbean musical instruction is available.

Audition participants should dress comfortably and have well-fitted footwear for Salsa & Bachata. Bare feet are recommended for Afro-Cuban/Caribbean. We encourage attendance at both placement auditions as many of our performances, including our main show in the Spring semester, will combine all dance forms we practice.
